A late goal by Valentia gave them hope but Templenoe had enough points on the board to win the match played in Templenoe last Saturday.Templenoe raced into a 1-4 lead after 15 mins with Martin Reilly getting the goal, while the points came from Patrick Palmer, Brian Crowley (2) and Shane Cremin. In the 20th min John Shanahan opened Valentia account with a point from a free, Brendan O’Sullivan followed with another from play. Patrick Palmer and Danny Cahalane responded for the home side. Templenoe increased the lead to 10 points after Cian Hallissey and Patrick Palmer scored.
