Keane’s SuperValu County Minor Football Division 1 Shield Semi-Final:

Na Fianna 1-18, Kenmare Shamrocks 3-07. Na Fianna minor footballers had a good win over neighbours Kenmare Shamrocks at Sneem last week to qualify for the Shield Final. Na Fianna were due to play Killarney Legion in the Shield Final at Fitzgerald Stadium on Monday evening.

County U14 League Result:

Na Fianna 5-08, Dingle 5-16.

Over 40’s Gaelic Football Tournament:

The Templenoe Over 40s team participated in the Purcell Cup Tournament last weekend at Fr Breen Park, Kenmare with games against Tuosist, Kenmare Shamrocks and Kilgarvan.

Thanks to Patrick O’Mahony for organising and making sure that Templenoe had a team. Credit also to Micheal O’Mahony for taking on the Manager role.

Congratulations to the Tuosist Over 40s team on winning the Purcell Cup for the third successive year.

Sam Maguire Visit:

There was a big turnout at Spillane’s Bar last Wednesday evening to welcome and congratulate Killian, Tadhg, the victorious Kerry senior footballers and management accompanied by the Sam Maguire following their All-Ireland Final win. Thankfully, the weather stayed dry and a great evening was had by all who attended Spillane’s and the subsequent event in Kenmare.
