McCarthy Insurance County Senior Football League Div 2:

Templenoe 1-13, Firies 1-21. Our senior footballers suffered defeat at home to Firies last Sunday. The sides were level at half-time, but a powerful second half display by the visitors saw them run out eight points winners.

Templenoe will play Castleisland Desmonds this Saturday, 30th May with a 3pm throw-in time (subject to change). All support welcome and encouraged.

County U14 League Division 7 Final;

Fossa 3-11

Na Fianna 3-07

Fossa GAA Grounds was the venue for last Monday evening’s U14 final, after Fossa won the coin toss to host the final. It was a sporting game with both sides giving it everything. Fossa had a narrow lead at the break., The half time score was Fossa 1-07, Na Fianna 1-05.

The second half was equally competitive, but Fossa pulled through to win by 4 points in the finish. Hard luck to Na Fianna, they had a good league run and the experience of reaching the final will stand to them all. Congratulations to Fossa.

The Templenoe players involved were Oisin Cremin, Alex O’Neill, Oscar Burns, Timmy O’Sullivan, Liam Randles, Killian O’Mahony, Ben Leonard, Aaron Vitting and Tadhg Clifford.
