Kerry Petroleum Senior Club Football Championship:

Austin Stacks 0-18, Templenoe 0-10.

The eagerly awaited senior club championship first round clash between Austin Stacks and Templenoe ended with an eight points victory for the hosts after they withstood a third quarter surge from the visitors at Connolly Park last Sunday afternoon.

Templenoe had a frustrating first half and trailed Austin Stacks at the break by 0-9 to 0-1, but our senior footballers had a strong third quarter and came within three points of the hosts. However, Austin Stacks had that bit more left in the tank coming down the stretch to run out eight points winners in the end.

Templenoe will now face neighbours Kenmare Shamrocks in the third round at Templenone GAA Grounds, which will be played on the weekend of the 22nd / 23rd August.

East Kerry U14 Football League, Semi Final Result (AET):

Glenflesk 5-18, Na Fianna 5-13. Hard luck to the Na Fianna U14 footballers who gave a gallant display in a game that went all the ways to extra-time with Glenflesk ultimately emerging 5 points winners at the Tuosist Community Complex last Tuesday evening.
