Kerry Petroleum Senior Club Football Championship:

Templenoe 1-17, Kenmare Shamrocks 2-17.

Hard luck to our senior footballers who all put in a massive shift and were unlucky to be pipped at the post by Kenmare Shamrocks. Templenoe were ahead for almost three quarters of the games and lead by five points with five minutes of normal time remaining, but a very strong finish from Kenmare at the stretch saw them pull yet another local derby out of the fire and finish three points winners.

We wish Patrick Clifford who suffered a serious leg injury in the first half a full and speedy recovery. Also, the club wishes to thank Michael Junior O’Sullivan and John Egan / Doran family for the use of their fields for parking on day.

Well done to Kenmare Shamrocks on their win.

Templenoe will now play An Ghaeltacht in the relegation play off. This game is scheduled to be played on Sunday, 6th September with a throw in time of 2pm at  the Johnny Culloty Park, Direen (Legion). The losers will play Spa in the relegation final.
