Templenoe / Tuosist advanced to the final of Div7 of the U14 County League. The match was played is good conditions in Templenoe GAA Grounds.
Ciaran Crowley opened the scoring with a point for the home team, but Kilgarvan, who were playing with the breeze, settled the quicker and followed with the next two scores through corner forward Donal O’Sullivan. Ciaran Crowley pointed again to level the scores, but this was responded to by a point from Kilgarvan’s Darragh Twomey.
Templenoe / Tuosist started to get a grip around midfield and started delivering good quality ball to full forward Ciaran Crowley. This purple patch resulted in Templenoe / Tuosist opening a lead of 4-07 to 0-03 by the end of the first half. The pick of the scores in this period was a screamer of a goal from wing forward Tom Looney.
Kilgarvan did muster up some chances, but poor shooting left them down on occasions.
Kilgarvan opened the scoring in the second half through Liam Twomey, but a fifth goal from Ciaran Crowley effectively sealed the victory for Templenoe / Tuosist. As the second half wore on, both teams used their subs bench, but Templenoe / Tuosist kept adding to their points total. Kilgarvan did score a goal through Donal O’Sullivan, but it was too late, leaving a final scoreline of Templenoe / Tuosist 5-16, Kilgarvan 1-05.
