U-12 Liam Cousin's Cup Final
Templenoe 4-11 Kilgarvan 4-04
Templenoe U-12s held on for victory in the Liam Cousin's Cup Final after an exciting game with Kilgarvan in front of a large crowd on Wednesday night last.
Congratulations
to Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine on winning the Joe O'Connor Cup defeating Mercy Mounthawk Tralee by 0-8 to 0-6 in the final played in Listry.
Congratulations
to Templenoe on being awarded the Kerry Coiste Na nOg Club of the Year 2008. Templenoe won County titles at U-14 and U-12 and got to the Division 3 final at U-16. The club also won District Board titles at U-12 and U-14 and the South Kerry League title at U-14. Templenoe held a very successful VHI Cul Camp and a Munster Go Games Blitz was also held at Templenoe. Kenmare District also reached the U-14 County Final but were defeated by a superb South Kerry pick.
Michelle O'Connor, Geraldine Cahalane and Clare O'Sullivan won All-Ireland medals with the Kerry Ladies U-14 team. Sean Moriarty won an All-Ireland U-16 B Hurling medal with Kerry. John Spillane and Tadhg Morley played with Kerry South. John Rice and Ellie Gudgeon played with Kerry Cumman Na mBun Scoil sides.

Teddy Casey Cup
Templenoe won the U-13 Teddy Casey Cup at Templenoe recently beating Kenmare/Kilgarvan in the final. The team was trained by Pat O'Neill and Pat Clifford. The Club would like to thank the O'Sullivan Casey family for sponsoring the blitz, Denis Sheahan and Timothy Clifford for refereeing the games and Kenmare/Kilgarvan, Sneem, Derrynane, Fossa and Tuosist for participating.
Munster U-10 Go-Games Blitz
was held in Templnoe on Saturday 10th. October. The teams that took part were Bantry, Beaufort, Templenoe, Tuosist and Skibbereen. The blitz was organised by the Munster Council and all players receive a t-shirt and football. The Club would like to thank all involved in organising the blitz and the clubs who took part.

U-10 Football
Templenoe will run a Munster Council U-10 "Go Games" blitz on Saturday 4th. October starting at 11am. Teams taking part include Templenoe/Tuosist, Beaufort, Banty and Skibbereen. The U-10s took part in an enjoyable blitz at Glenfesk last Saturday, drawing one game while they were defeated in the other two.

The U-13s will play in the Teddy Casey Cup football blitz to be held on 11th. October in Templenoe starting at 11am.

Kenmare District 4-10 Spa 2-17. The match was level 3-07 to 2-10 at the end of normal time but Spa went on to win by a point after extra time.

Templenoe drew with Milltown/Castlemaine last Wednesday. They have qualified for the semi-final to be played in Templenone on Wednesday 30th. July at 7:30pm.
U-21 Co. Club Championship Result
The Kenmare District team were defeated by Laune Rangers in Templenoe last Thursday. Kenmare trailed by 1-04 to 0-12 at half-time, Gavin McCarthy got Kenmare's goal and goalkeeper Gary Cassidy saved a penalty.

Templenoe GAA Club are holding a Race Night in the Blackwater Tavern on Sunday 3rd. August. Everyone welcome.

V.H.I. Cul Football Summer Camp
Over 50 players enjoyed the VHI Cul football camp co-ordinated by Vince Cooper in Templenoe last week.

Templenoe got the better of a Kenmare/Kilgarvan/Tuosist combination in a good game of football played at Kenmare. The final score saw Templenoe winning by 1-12 to 1-08.

To the Kerry U-14 Ladies on winning the All Ireland football final at Claughan, Limerick last Thursday. A good crowd from the local area travelled to support the team which included Clare O'Sullivan, Michelle O'Connor and Geraldine Cahalane with David O'Connor a selector. They proved too good for Galway in the final. Congratulations and well done to all involved on their magnificent achievement.

Kenmare 7-14 West Kerry 7-07.
Kenmare got the better of West Kerry after extra time in a good game played in Kenmare last Wednesday. The sides were level at 3-13 to 6-4 at the end of normal time but goals in extra time earned victory for Kenmare District.

Bord na nOg AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Templenoe GAA Club Bord na nOg was held last Sunday evening. The meeting was well attended.
2007 was a good year for Templenoe with the U-12 team winning their group in the Co. League. The U-14s reached the Division 2 Co. League final and the U-16s reached the Co. League Division 3 final. The U-12s and U-14s were also successful in the South Kerry Leagues.
All the Bord na nOg group took part in blitzes around the county and Templenoe U-12s retained the Fossa Blitz title. They also helped St. Francis Boys school win the Division 2 and Division 1 Cumann na mBunscoil finals recently. Contragulations to all involved.

U-14 All-Ireland Blitz
The Kerry U-14 Girls took part in the All-Ireland Division 1 Blitz in Westmeath last weekend. They were narrowly defeated by Meath in the final following victories over Monaghan, Cork and Galway as well as draws with Meath and Laois on the way. There were five girls from Kenmare District on the panel: Michelle O'Connor, Clare O'Sullivan, Aisling Kelleher, Aoife Godfrey and Aisling Harrington.

Medal Presentations
Kerry U-21 and Senior star Paul O'Connor presented medals to the successful U-12 and U-14 teams at the Templenoe pitch last Sunday. Well done to all involved.
AGM
A large crowd attended the Templenoe GAA Club AGM held in the Community Centre last Saturday evening.
The meeting was addressed by chairman Pat Spillane, secretary Edward O'Sullivan and treasurer Tomas O'Connor. The U-12, U-13, U-14 and minor teams and mentors were all congratulated on their success and special mention was made of those players who have represented the club on the Inter-county scene, Shane Cremin was a member of the victorious Munster and All-Ireland winning Kerry Junior team, Denise Hallisey played for the Kerry U-16 and Senior Ladies, Tadgh Morley represented the Kerry National Schools against Cork and Clare O'Sullivan and Michelle O'Connor won U-12 medals with Kerry. Denise Hallisey was also named Munster U-16 Player of the Year.
Senior and Junior Results
Templenoe Seniors finished the year in mid-table of Division 5 and lost to Brosna in the Novice Shield. The Junior team reached the semi-final of Urban League Division 6 losing to Duagh but disappointed in the Cahill Cup losing to Cromane at the quarter final stage.
Kenmare District
In the District Board competitions Templenoe were defeated by Tuosist in the Finnegan Cup final, while the Junior team also lost to Tuosist in the Purcell Cup final. In the Senior Co. Championship six players made the Kenmare District panel that beat West Kerry away but lost to Dr. Crokes. A number the minor side made the Kenmare District minor team that was defeated by Rathmore in the Minor B Championship final. Templenoe were also well represented in the on District U-16 and U-14 sides.
Field and Club Development
The Templenoe pitch hosted numerous games including Divisional Board, Championship and Munster Senior Colleges matches. It also hosted a match for the Underdogs television series under lights. Much thanks for the upkeep of the pitch dressing rooms was given to Hidden Valley, Denis Sheehan, Sean Finnegan, David O'Connor, Paul Crowley, Tom Jones, Pat Clifford and Mike Lynch.
Sponsorship and Finance
The club would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Club Draw and activities such as the Race Night, the 31 Card Drive and Church Gate Collection. Also many thanks to the Blackwater Tavern and Spillane's Bar for hosting the events, to Colm Murphy for sponsoring the Senior team and to all the sponsors of the Race Night and the Christmas Hamper draw, Baltimore Harbour Hotel, The Park Hotel, Sean Finnegan Jewellers and Quills Woollen Market.
