Kerry Petroleum Senior Club Football Championship:
Austin Stacks 1-18, Templenoe 1-05. Austin Stacks proved much too strong for Templenoe in the opening round of the senior club championship last Saturday evening at Connolly Park. Little went right for our senior footballers on the day. But Templenoe will have a chance to redeem themselves with a home fixture against Na Gaeil in the 3rd round which will be played on the weekend of the 23rd/24th August.
Keane’s SuperValu County Minor Football Division 1 Shield Final:
Killarney Legion 1-16, Na Fianna 1-14. Hard luck to the Na Fianna minor footballers who came up just short after a gallant display against Legion in the County Minor Division 1 Shield Final which was played at Fitzgerald Stadium last Monday evening.
