Templenoe / Tuosist / Kilgarvan Minor Team
The Templenoe Minors are joined up with Kilgarvan and Tuosist and will play in Division 2 of the County Minor League for 2017. They have already had a good run out when they beat Dr Crokes in a Challenge match last weekend with a score of 2-09 to 0-13.
Their opening match is fixed for Saturday 18th Feburary at 4pm in Kilgarvan.

Tim Clifford Memorial Cup
Templenoe won back the Tim Clifford Memorial Cup by beating Roger Casements of Coventry on a scoreline of Templenoe 4-10 Roger Casements 2-15. This was a well contested match with the Templenoe goals being scored by Barry Clifford, Danny Cahalane, Kieran O'Neill and John James O'Sullivan.
The Templenoe team was managed by Dan O'Sullivan and lined out as follows.
Anthony Sheehan, Dan O'Connor, Kieran O'Neill, Colm Breen, Martin Reilly, Kieran McCarthy, John Moriarty, Sean Sheehan, John James O'Sullivan, Padraig Doyle, Danny Cahalane, Noel O'Sullivan, Barry Clifford, Teddy Doyle, Timmy Clifford.
Barry Clifford accepted the Tim Clifford Cup on behalf of Templenoe GAA Club. Both Roger Casements and Templenoe made presentations to mark the occasion.
We would like to thank the people of Roger Casements for the fantastic welcome and the warm hospitality we received all weekend.
This capped the end of a great weekend for those who travelled. They also visited The Hawthorns on Saturday to watch West Brom play Stoke in a Premiership match.

Body by Finn at Real World Combat Gym, Kenmare
The Templenoe players are getting a very good start to the 2017 season by linking up with Finn Glenn in the Real World Combat & Fitness Gym in Kenmare. They are getting a excellent workout which will help with their core strenght and endurance throughout the year. The club would like to thank Finn for all his help.
The Gym is setup in an extremly spacious building outside Kenmare, and is very well equipped. They also run plenty of fitness classes during the week as well as personal training.

Templenoe trip to Roger Casements GAA Club, Warwickshire
Templenoe GAA Club are heading off to Coventry this weekend, where we are to be hosted by the Roger Casement GAA Club of Warwickshire.
Roger Casements GAA Club was the former Club of Timmy Clifford Snr, who played for them in the late 1970's and helped them win the Warwickshire Senior Football Championship in 1978.
Last June, Roger Casements travelled to Templenoe to celebrate the 60th year since their formation. The took on Templenoe in a match played in very bad weather conditions, and emerged victorious to win the Tim Clifford Memorial trophy.
The match is scheduled for Sunday afternoon (05th Feb) at 3pm in The Sphynx Club, Coventry. We are travelling over, fully intending to win back the Cup for 2017.

Templenoe GAA Club Membership 2017
The GAA Season is starting to pick up for 2017 and we already have fixtures for Division 1 of the County Senior Football League and are drawn away to Waterville in the County Intermediate Football Championship.

Tom Granville, Templenoe GAA Club President
It was with great sadness that the members of Templenoe GAA Club heard of the death of Tom Granville of Reen on Monday the 23rd January 2017.
Tom had a lifelong association with Templenoe GAA. He played for Templenoe and held most officerships in the Club. He was Treasurer for almost thirty years and even when not officially involved he gave great support to the officers of the day.
While Tom made many significant contributions to the Club particularly in organising the very limited funds available at times, it is probably fair to say that his most significant contribution was in relation to the development of the pitch at Templenoe.
Tom will be sadly missed by all in Templenoe.

Templenoe GAA Club will be providing a guard of honor for the late Tom Granville. We would ask that all club members be present at the removal this evening (Tuesday 24th January), in their club tops.
Death Notice of Tom Granville
Granville, Reen, Kenmare, on the 23rd January 2017, peacefully at the University Hospital, Kerry and in the presence of his loving family. Tom, beloved husband of the late Kit and loving father of Patsy, Marion, Noramai and Tom. Sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, brother Mick, Daughters-in-law, Eileen and Niamh, sons-in-law Patrick and Gerard, sisters-in-law Sarah and Joan, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at O' Connor's Funeral Home, Kenmare. Rosary on this Monday evening at 9.00pm. Reposing on Tuesday evening from 4.30pm to 7.00pm followed by removal to Holy Cross Church, Kenmare. Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 11.00am with burial afterwards in the New Templenoe Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Rockmount Day Care Centre, Kilgarvan.

Templenoe GAA Club Medal Presentation Jan 07th 2017
Now that some of the Christmas festivities are dying down a tiny bit, it’s time to start thinking about another big celebration on the horizon.
The Templenoe GAA Club Medal Presentation is on the 7th of January, 2017 in The Kenmare Bay Hotel at 7:30pm. Music by The Singing Jarvey and tickets are €25 which can be purchased from The Blackwater Tavern, Sean Finnegan and Phil Harrington.
Last day to purchase tickets is Wednesday January 4th.This is a TICKET ONLY event. There will be NO tickets for sale at the door on the night.
We will be presenting the All Ireland Junior, Munster Junior, Kerry Junior and County Senior Football League Division 2 Medals. It promised to be a fantastic night and we would like to see all our supporters there.
