Templenoe AGM - 2024

 

The Templenoe AGM took place last Friday evening in the Templenoe Community Centre.

Presidents - Pat Peter O’Sullivan, Joan Rice, Arthur O’Connor, Ted O’Sullivan, Jack O’Sullivan were confirmed by acclamation.

 

The following officers were elected for the upcoming year:

GAA Lotto:

The numbers drawn on Monday, 20th November were 10, 12, 17 and bonus number 9. No Jackpot winner. Congratulations to our Match 3 Numbers Winner for €400 – Tony Clifford, Eastbourne, England.

SafeTalk Training:

SafeTalk Training organised by our Club Chairperson Tomas Crowley will be delivered by the H.S.E at the Templenoe Community Centre on Thursday, 30th November at 6pm. Athletics:

Congratulations to our own Noel O’Neill who was part of the Kerry team who won bronze at the Munster uneven age. Noel and his team have now qualified to run in the All-Ireland in Navan on the 3rd of December and we wish them the best of luck.

PWC All-Star Football Awards 2023:

Congratulations this year’s Kerry All-Star recipients Seanie O’Shea, Tom O’Sullivan, Paudie Clifford and to David Clifford who also deservedly picked up the player of the year award for the second successive year. Our own Tadhg Morley was among the All-Star nominees after another great year and All-Ireland final display but was just pipped at the post for an award on this occasion.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of the late Harry Naaijkens, Claddanure who passed away recently. May he Rest in Peace.

Crime Prevention:

There will be a meeting of the Blackwater Templenoe Community Alert in the Blackwater Tavern on Tuesday, 21st November at 8pm. Sargent Michael Quirke the Kerry Crime Prevention Officer and Diarmuid Cronin of Muintir Na Tire will be in attendance. All are welcome.

 

Sympathy:

Sincere condolences are extended to the family and relatives of the late Denis (Dinny) Cremin, Raycoslough. Dinny was instrumental with the running of the Templenoe rowing club for which he was held in high regard throughout the county. Prior to that, Dinny also had an involvement with Templenoe GAA Club including a stint as a selector with a few of the Templenoe teams in the early 2000’s. May he Rest in Peace.
